必赢体育app中国官方网站鈥檚 John Ford has been named a Digital Construction Power Player by Digital Construction Plus in recognition of his expertise in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and his invaluable contributions in developing industry standards and making a 鈥渄emonstrable difference to the entire sector鈥�. He is one of just 20 to be awarded the title in 2025.
John, Head of BIM and Digital Delivery for 必赢体育app中国官方网站, has collaborated closely with key organisations such as the UK BIM Alliance, BuildingSMART, NIMA and the Centre for Digital Built Britain, and has been a key contributor to the British Standards Institution (BSI) on various projects, recently leading updates to the design management guide, BS 7000-4 and the impending update to ISO19650.
He has additionally served on BuildingSMART's Construction to Operations, Building Information Exchange (COBie) certification advisory board.
John has also created resources and videos designed to assist the Department for Education鈥檚 supply chain in understanding and implementing some of the most comprehensive digital requirements based on Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) and ISO 19650 standards, helping improve data quality and removing knowledge barriers around IFC, which remains a significant challenge for many.
One of his recent highlights is 必赢体育app中国官方网站鈥檚 Woodham Academy project in County Durham, delivered for the DfE. The project used ISO 19650 principles to maintain a seamless digital process from design to operation, setting a new benchmark for digital construction and has been shortlisted as a finalist for this year鈥檚 Best Digital Construction Project category at the Digital Construction Awards.
