Bloxham Grove Academy is a newly-established free school catering to students aged seven to 18 with cognitive, learning, social, emotional and Autism spectrum needs. 

Run by the Gallery Trust and delivered on behalf of the Department for Education, the school opened its doors in January 2024, providing a specialised and supportive learning environment designed to meet the unique needs of its students. 

From the outset, the project emphasised collaboration, engaging with stakeholders including parents, students, and the local community. This proactive approach ensured that the school's development was guided by a commitment to inclusivity and responsiveness to diverse needs.  

The team鈥檚 recognition of the project鈥檚 unique requirements allowed for a tailored approach that celebrated the school鈥檚 individual objectives. Bloxham Grove Academy stands as a model for how collaboration and a deep understanding of specific educational requirements can shape a school that supports and uplifts its community. 

This approach was later recognised by success at the鈥疌onstructing Excellence鈥疭outh East鈥疌entre for the Built Environment (SECBE) Awards鈥痠n the Delivering Value category,鈥痟ighlighting the academy's inclusive approach, which included an  
on-site鈥痑ssistance鈥痙og and using Makaton signs for visual communication and support for the students.鈥� 

The project鈥痑chieved an鈥�'Outstanding' rating of 47/50 on the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) and鈥痝enerated an overall Social and Local Economic Value (SLEV) exceeding 拢800,000. 

The academy continues to add to its list of accolades, having鈥痺on the鈥疓old鈥痑ward at the CCS National Site Awards that recognise exceptional projects that鈥痙emonstrate鈥痗ommitment to support and drive positive changes within the construction industry.
